A long-time customer gave me a call last week about his MacBook 2008 laptop not doing updates anymore. So I researched upgrading to the newest version of Mac O/S, and sure enough, no more updates for an 11-year-old MacBook. He asked me if there was a solution to this problem, other then buying a new Mac? I said yes, let’s go ahead and try to put Linux on here.
So I went ahead and downloaded the ISO image of the newest version of the Linux Ubuntu operating system. So I installed the operating system, did all the updates, and all the devices are working great. I transferred all the data back that had taken off previously—delighted customer once again.
